Our hair extensions are applied to the hair using two methods which are either Microlinks or Micro Wefts
Microlink Hair Extensions
Microlink hair extensions are also known as micro bead hair extensions or micro loop hair extensions therefore completely glue and heat free so cause less damage to your natural hair. They are applied by attaching small strands of hair to sections of your own hair with a small silicone-lined bead which is then tightened to hold it in place and will take approximately 2 to 4 hours to apply. Our microlink hair extensions will need repositioning every 2 to 3 months as the natural hair grows and the microbeads move away from the scalp. They will usually need replacing entirely approximately every 6 to 12 months depending on how you have looked after and maintained your hair.
Micro Weft Hair Extensions
Micro Weft hair extensions (also known as weaves) are highly versatile and completely glue and heat free so cause less damage to your natural hair. These extensions can feel heavier than the individual strands of hair used in our micro link extensions however they are great if you want to quickly add instant volume and length to your own hair, so ideal for bridal hair or any special occasion. When we apply the weft to your hair it is placed horizontally in strips against the head and small sections of your own hair and hair from the weft are gently pulled through micro beads which are then tightened to secure the weft in place. They are placed in sections that are ¾ inch apart and this is continued in sections from the base of the neck up to the top of the head depending on desired look and fullness. They will need repositioning every 2 to 3 months as the natural hair grows and the microbeads move away from the scalp. They will usually need replacing entirely approximately every 6 months depending on how you have looked after and maintained your hair
