Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my hair system last?

This is fully dependent on the type of hair system you have however for men it is usually up to 6 months, and for women up to 12 months (with regular maintenance)

Does the treatment hurt?

All of our hair systems are non invasive therefore we do not penetrate the skin. The hair is applied with either medical grade adhesive or micro links therefore is not painful

Can I choose the length and colour of my hair?

Yes – your chosen hair system is 100% tailor made to how you want it to look and feel. We will match firstly match the colour of your existing hair and when the hair system is applied we will then cut and style in with your existing hair to your liking so you have a completely natural look

Can I prevent my own hair from falling out?

Although we cannot guarantee further loss of your own hair we do provide laser hair therapy which can encourage new hair growth

How Long Does It Take?

This is dependent on the specific hair system you choose however this can take up to 2 hours for men and 3 hours for women for the first

How do i look after my new hair?

You can treat your hair system entirely as you would your own hair so washing, drying, styling and applying any other type of heat is completely fine. However, all of our hair systems require regular maintenance which will be discussed with you in your inititial consultation so you know what to expect. For men, a regular 4 week maintenance is required to re-bond the hair system and tidy up an new hair growth surrounding it. For women, a regular 6 week maintenance is required to either re-bond or tighten the micro links or weft.

what is male pattern hair loss?

Male pattern hair loss is the most common type of diffuse thinning of the hair and balding that occurs in adult males. It is due to a combination of hormones (androgen’s) and a genetic predisposition. Male pattern hair loss is also called androgenic alopecia. It is characterised by a receding hairline and hair loss on the top and front of the head

what is female pattern hair loss?

Female pattern hair loss, also called androgenetic alopecia, is hair loss that affects women. It’s similar to male pattern baldness, except that women can lose their hair in a different pattern than men. Hair loss in women is normal, especially as you age. Up to two-thirds of women experience hair loss after menopause. Less than half of women will make it past age 65 with a full head of hair. Female pattern hair loss is hereditary. It’s more common after menopause, so hormones are likely responsible.
